This is an ongoing, long-term project to understand and prevent littering that harms our coastline. We will be addressing litter in our community through three ways.
- Organizing beach cleanups and trash pickup events: We will host regular public events to pick up trash on the loop, beaches, parks, and streets.
- Infrastructure and community resiliency: We will be exploring new locations for trash cans, better and more organized trash services, and expanding recycling.
- Social change: Our long-term goal is to curb the sources of litter in IV for good by fostering social responsibility.
